Terms of Service

Clear rules for everyone who uses CNCPoint — buyers, sellers, and community members.

Last updated: July 2026

1. About CNCPoint

CNCPoint (cncpoint.co.in) is an online marketplace and community platform for CNC machining, fabrication, and design. We connect buyers with verified CNC sellers across India, and allow community members to sell their own digital design files. CNCPoint also sells its own designs and physical products directly. By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service in full.

2. What We Offer

CNCPoint operates three distinct channels:

  • Marketplace (Shop) — Third-party verified sellers list and sell physical CNC products, digital files, and custom fabrication services. Orders are processed via our escrow system and settled to sellers after delivery confirmation.
  • CNCPoint Direct — Designs and physical products sold directly by CNCPoint from our workshop in Rajsamand, Rajasthan.
  • Community — Members share projects and sell their own 2D/3D design files (DXF, STL, OBJ, etc.) directly to other users.
  • Gallery & Catalogue — A portfolio of past work for reference and inspiration.
  • Tools — AI-assisted calculation, relief generation, and autonomous agent systems for catalog metadata, marketing mockups, and technical journal content (see Sections 9 and 13).

3. Accounts and Registration

You may browse CNCPoint without an account. To buy, sell, download paid files, or post in the community, you must sign in with Google. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Do not share your credentials. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Seller Accounts and Verification

To list products or services on CNCPoint you must register as a seller and complete our verification process. Verification involves submitting business details, GST information (where applicable), and contact information. Verified sellers receive a badge on their storefront. CNCPoint reserves the right to approve, suspend, or terminate seller accounts at its discretion.

By registering as a seller you agree to:

  • Provide accurate business and product information.
  • Maintain sufficient capacity to fulfil orders you accept.
  • Ship physical orders within the stated production and dispatch timelines.
  • Not list counterfeit, prohibited, or infringing products.
  • Accept CNCPoint's commission and fee structure described in Section 7.

5. Buying on CNCPoint

Physical Products

When you purchase a physical product from the marketplace, your payment is held in escrow by CNCPoint. Funds are released to the seller only after your order is marked as delivered. If you have not confirmed delivery within 7 days of the tracked delivery date, funds may be released automatically. All orders are subject to our Refund & Return Policy.

Digital Design Files (CNCPoint Direct)

Purchases of design files from CNCPoint grant you a personal, non-exclusive licence to use the file for your own CNC projects — personal or commercial. You may not resell, redistribute, or re-upload the file as your own. All digital file sales are final once the file has been downloaded or accessed.

Community Design Files

Community members may sell their own design files. Purchases grant you a licence from the individual seller, not from CNCPoint. CNCPoint is not liable for the accuracy, compatibility, or quality of community-uploaded files. Review the file description and preview before purchasing.

Custom / RFQ Orders

You may request a custom fabrication job from a verified seller via the Leads / RFQ system. The seller will provide a quote. Once you accept and pay, the order enters escrow under the same protection as standard marketplace orders.

6. Selling on CNCPoint

Sellers are independent businesses or individuals and are not employees or agents of CNCPoint. CNCPoint acts as an intermediary platform only. Sellers are solely responsible for:

  • The accuracy of product descriptions, pricing, and images.
  • Fulfilling orders on time and to the described specification.
  • Handling warranty, support, or disputes with buyers in good faith.
  • Compliance with applicable Indian laws including GST, consumer protection, and intellectual property.
  • Accurate GST invoicing where required.

Sellers must not manipulate reviews, engage in shill purchases, or artificially inflate store metrics. CNCPoint may remove listings, withhold payouts, or terminate accounts in such cases.

7. Platform Fees and Commissions

CNCPoint deducts a platform commission from each completed transaction before paying out to the seller. Current rates are:

  • Physical products (Marketplace) — 8% platform commission + 1% TDS
  • Digital files (Marketplace) — 12% platform commission + 1% TDS
  • Custom / RFQ orders — 5% platform commission + 1% TDS
  • Community 2D design files (DXF, Greyscale) — 5% platform commission
  • Community 3D design files (STL, OBJ, FBX, etc.) — 10% platform commission

TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) at 1% is deducted under Section 194-O of the Income Tax Act, 1961, as applicable to e-commerce operators. Payment gateway processing fees (~2.36%) are borne by CNCPoint and are not additionally charged to sellers. Rates are subject to change; sellers will be notified of any changes at least 14 days in advance.

8. Payments and Escrow

All payments are processed via Razorpay. By completing a purchase, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service. CNCPoint holds buyer payments in escrow until the order reaches the Delivered status. Seller payouts are initiated after escrow release, typically within 2–5 working days.

Sellers may request a payout withdrawal from their dashboard once their withdrawable balance exceeds the minimum threshold. Payouts are transferred to the seller's registered bank account via NEFT/IMPS within 3–7 working days.

9. Intellectual Property and Automated Processing Licence

All content on CNCPoint — including design files sold by CNCPoint directly, logos, photographs, and text — is protected by copyright. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute it without permission.

General Upload Licence

By uploading content (design files, images, product listings) to CNCPoint, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and promote that content on our platform and in our marketing materials.

Automated Metadata, Mockup, and AI Inspection Licence

By uploading files to the CNCPoint marketplace, community, or seller inventory systems, you additionally grant CNCPoint a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence (for the duration your content remains on the platform and a reasonable wind-down period thereafter) to:

  • Execute automated scripts, agent workflows, and batch processors over your uploaded files;
  • Run 3D mesh rendering, relief preview, and image compositing utilities on design assets and associated previews;
  • Apply artificial intelligence and computer-vision models (including Google Gemini and Vertex AI services) to inspect, classify, tag, and index your files;
  • Generate real-world environment mockups — including but not limited to doors, jaalis, wall panels, lobby screens, and architectural scene compositions — for marketing, catalogue, and discovery purposes;
  • Auto-create and publish inventory search tags, SEO metadata, titles, descriptions, and Pinterest or social preview assets derived from your listings; and
  • Store and transmit derivative metadata and mockup images to third-party integrations described in our Privacy Policy.

This licence is limited to operating, promoting, and improving CNCPoint services. It does not transfer ownership of your underlying design files to CNCPoint, and does not grant buyers any rights beyond those explicitly stated in the applicable product licence at point of sale. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this licence.

You must own or have the legal rights to any content you upload. CNCPoint will act on valid intellectual property complaints and may remove infringing content without notice.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use CNCPoint to:

  • List or sell counterfeit, stolen, or unlicensed products.
  • Engage in fraudulent transactions, chargebacks abuse, or payment manipulation.
  • Post spam, malware, or misleading content.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or CNCPoint staff.
  • Circumvent platform fees by transacting directly with buyers/sellers contacted via CNCPoint.
  • Scrape, crawl, or automate actions on the platform without permission.
  • Use the platform for any purpose that violates Indian law.

11. Disputes Between Buyers and Sellers

CNCPoint provides a dispute resolution channel for marketplace orders. If a buyer claims an order was not delivered or does not match the listing, they may raise a dispute within 7 days of the expected delivery date. CNCPoint will mediate and may hold or release escrow funds at its discretion based on evidence provided by both parties. CNCPoint's decision is final for escrow release purposes.

12. Limitation of Liability

CNCPoint is a technology platform connecting buyers and sellers. We do not manufacture or physically inspect products listed by third-party sellers. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CNCPoint's aggregate liability for any claim arising from use of the platform or marketplace transactions is limited to the greater of (a) the transaction amount giving rise to the claim, or (b) INR 5,000. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, including lost profits, lost production, or business interruption.

13. CNC Machine Parameter and Technical Advice Waiver

IMPORTANT — READ CAREFULLY. CNCPoint publishes, generates, and distributes technical information through multiple channels, including but not limited to: AI agent systems, automated Journal articles, community forum posts, seller listings, calculation tools, and human-authored guidance. The following waiver applies to all such content collectively.

Informational Purpose Only

Any technical advice, CNC machine parameters, feed rates, spindle speeds, depth-of-cut recommendations, stepover values, toolpath estimations, routing bit selections, collet guidance, material suitability statements, ArtCAM or CAM configuration suggestions, scaling instructions, or machining strategies displayed on or linked from CNCPoint — whether generated by artificial intelligence, community members, sellers, or CNCPoint staff — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.

No Professional or Engineering Warranty

CNCPoint provides zero warranties, representations, or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular machine, or safety of any AI-generated text, automated metadata, Journal content, or community advice. CNC machining involves inherent risks. Machine behaviour varies by manufacturer, controller firmware, spindle condition, workholding, tooling wear, material batch, ambient temperature, and operator skill. You must independently verify all parameters on scrap material before production runs.

Assumption of Risk by the Fabricator

You, the end fabricator and machine operator, assume all material risks associated with applying any information obtained from CNCPoint. You are solely responsible for:

  • Confirming compatibility with your specific CNC router, mill, laser, or plasma system;
  • Selecting appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and cooling for your spindle and material;
  • Securing workpieces, verifying tool length offsets, and enforcing shop safety procedures; and
  • Complying with manufacturer manuals, local occupational safety regulations, and applicable law.

Complete Absolution of Machine and Material Damage Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CNCPoint, its directors, employees, agents, contractors, and AI systems shall not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage, or expense arising from reliance on platform content, including without limitation:

  • Machine tool damage, spindle failure, drive overload, or controller faults;
  • Broken, chipped, or prematurely worn router bits, end mills, or inserts;
  • Collet failure, tool pull-out, or crash events;
  • Scrapped, gouged, or incorrectly dimensioned raw stock (MDF, plywood, solid wood, WPC, metal, or composites);
  • Personal injury or property damage occurring in your workshop or production facility; and
  • Production downtime, missed deadlines, or commercial losses attributable to machining parameters suggested on the platform.

If you do not agree to this waiver, you must not rely on any technical parameters or machining guidance published on CNCPoint and should discontinue use of AI-assisted tools, Journal articles, and community advice for operational decision-making.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rajsamand, Rajasthan, India.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of CNCPoint after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
